What is a CBD box?

A CBD box is a custom-printed folding carton, rigid setup box, or cartridge pack engineered around a hemp-derived cannabidiol product — tincture, topical, capsule, cartridge, flower, gummy, or gift set. Unlike a generic cosmetic or supplement carton, it is designed from the start around a specific regulatory load: FDA disclaimers, state-by-state labeling variance, cannabinoid content prominence, batch and lot traceability, and, for many fills and markets, certified child-resistance. Compliance and child-resistance

The federal 2018 Farm Bill removed hemp-derived cannabinoids under 0.3% THC from Schedule I, but state rules vary dramatically — some states require certified child-resistant packaging on all ingestible CBD, some require it only on edibles and inhalables, some regulate labeling copy word-for-word, and dispensary-channel product usually follows the stricter cannabis rulebook regardless of hemp derivation. Stocks: 14pt to 24pt SBS for folding cartons; 1.5mm to 2mm chipboard wrapped in printed art paper for rigid; unbleached kraft for plant-forward positioning; opaque or UV-blocking stocks and barrier liners for potency-sensitive fills. Finishes: matte, gloss, or soft-touch lamination; foil stamping; embossing; spot UV. FSC-certified stocks and soy-based inks are available across most constructions if recyclability or eco-credentials are part of your brand promise.
