Speccing the right box
The right shipping box is a load calculation. We ask three questions: what does the product weigh, is the box shipping alone or nested in a master carton, and will it stack in transit or in the warehouse. From there we recommend a flute (E, B, C, or BC double-wall), an ECT rating (32 for everyday DTC, 44 for heavier freight), and a liner (white for print, kraft for cost and eco). Sizing is dielined to the product with a controlled allowance so you ship less air, less material, and less freight cost per order.
Print and branding
For a branded shipping box, flexo print on the liner handles logos, 1-2 spot colors, and typographic branding at high speed and low cost. For full-color, photographic, or edge-to-edge art (including interior print), we litho-laminate — an offset-printed sheet bonded to the corrugated board. Both are durable enough to survive the postal system without scuffing.
Sustainable shipping
Corrugated is one of the most-recycled materials in the US waste stream. We spec recycled-content stocks, water-based inks, and right-sized dielines that cut air, weight, and freight per shipment. For DTC brands making a sustainability claim, kraft corrugated with soy-based print carries the eco read at the doorstep.

Materials, print, and finish options
Shipping boxes are all about the corrugated spec. Flute (E, B, C, or BC double-wall) determines protection and print smoothness; ECT (edge-crush test) determines stacking and burst strength. For most US e-commerce a 32 ECT B-flute is the sweet spot — protective, printable, and cost-effective. For heavier product or long-haul freight, C-flute or double-wall BC at 44 ECT keeps the load safe. Liners can be white (for high-contrast print) or kraft (for a natural, eco look).
